New Chicago route inbound

Got most the scenery done. I know the bridge doesn't contain the traffic signals the real one has - I don't want to adjust the height for each head (yes, we can say I'm lazy lol). There will also be the industrial spur line that goes to a few industries - something that many wished for on the Harvard Sub.

cheers

will it ever be released as a Trainz 3 port?
This route unfortunately doesn't meet the requirements for TS3 - not without having to be rebuilt to meet the mobile requirements.

=============================
Route update -

Another easy area, done. Trackside pics coming up in the next post.

This time, I took advantage of the new sky feature that landed in Trainz Plus with their recent update.
Performance wise... not so great. I'm hoping its because its a beta and not because of the clutter assets used...

Looks great! Can’t wait to see the yard up ahead!
I can't wait to build it!
But first, I have that small industrial spur to build before I can get to the yard :D

Very nice!! I'm looking forward to seeing the upcoming CN crossing! How much of the CN tracks can we expect to be drivable?
Thank you!
I also can't wait! As for drivability, southern side might be anywhere from half to 1 full baseboard size; northern part, hard to say since there is a yard there but for sure the entire yard and maybe the industrial spur line there - depending on who services that.

cheers

With about 20 miles remaining on the other route before I come to a city, its time to come back to the Chicago route.
Work on the spur continues and since there wasn't much, I was able to start from scratch and finish it in one go.

cheers

A 2 parter again. This is due to the the density in the area.
While you probably aren't able to see it but the smaller details have been placed - majority of them anyway.

This area won't be finished until Tuesday at the earliest since I'm not going to have the time to work on it tomorrow or Monday.

Well, the trip was cancelled due to possible rain at the other end - welp.

Anyway, back to work on Chicago and today, the area has been finished. I've also attached a sneak peak of the next area and that will be a challenge as most of the roads haven't been added and the tracks... well they didn't appear. I can tell you this won't be a 100% prototype setup.

Okay, I think this is good enough. This is the end of the spur line.
On my return trip back to the mainline, I'll be adding the airport that I wasn't adding on my way.

Not much progress this week due to busy life.
My job here will start to pick up again so less time spent to build routes.

I'm slowly getting those smaller details placed however - yay.
